There are 2 best ways to Monetize your YouTube videos

Option 1. Set Monetization as a default setting for all your YouTube videos or
Option 2. Setting Monetization on individual videos

Lets me show you the 1st option on how to set Monetization as a default setting.

Step 1. Login to YouTube and click on profile image on the top right side and then click on the YouTube settings.

Step 2: Now click on view additional features link.

Step 3: Click on Enable button against Monetization.

Step 4: In the Monetization screen click on "Enable My Account" button.

Step 5: A new pop-up window "Enable your account for Monetization" is displayed, read all the agreement terms carefully and then select the check box against the 3 agreement conditions and click on the I ACCEPT button.

Step 6: A new pop-up window will appear "How to monetize your videos", click on "Got it" button.

Step 7: Now under Channel, click on "Upload Defaults".

Step 8: In Upload Defaults screen select the check box against Monetize with ads. This will ensure that all your uploaded videos are monetized by default.

Step 9: Now click on Save button.

Now lets see the 2nd option for setting Monetization on individual videos. This is best suited when you don't want to monetize all the videos.

Step 1: Login to YouTube and click on the profile image, then click on the "Creator Studio" button.

Step 2: Now you can see the dashboard displayed, now click on the Edit button next to the video that you want to Monetize.

Step 3: Now click on the Monetization section, under that select the check box next to "Monetize with ads". Also ensure that you have selected Display ads, Overlay ads and Skippable video ads.

Step 4: Now click on Save button at the top right corner.
